Individual Counseling

I strongly believe that people have the capacity to grow, change, and adapt—once they are ready to do so—and am happy to work through this with people either virtually or in the arena with the horses.

My treatment methods are based on the individual needs of each person.  I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral and experiential therapies, and my style is typically very solution-focused.  I also incorporate pieces of EMDR and somatic work for those who may have experienced trauma in their lives.

My approach has always been very holistic and by recently becoming a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I am excited to incorporate different alternative methods that focus on bringing balance to mind, body, and spirit.

I have many clinical interests and am comfortable working with a diverse group of people.  At one time I worked exclusively with children and adolescents; however, I now prefer to work directly with parents who may need assistance or support with navigating different behavioral challenges or learning issues.  I also have extensive experience working with the military, veterans, and their families, especially with manipulating various life transitions.
